Alpert Medical School at Brown University has a program called MOMS (Medical Student Outreach to Mothers to Be), where medical students are paired with a pregnant patient, and have the opportunity to follow the patient to doctor's appointments, diagnostic tests, and the birth itself. I had the privilege of participating in this program and following a mother through her pregnancy and birth, and even post-birth. I got to know this lovely family, and take photos of the newborn baby and his (and his older brother's) dedication. This has been one of the most rewarding and amazing experiences I have had in my medical school career thus far, and I am beyond grateful to be part of this family's incredible journey!
